While you walk past the main entrance towards the front desk and lobby area you will pass by a small perfumerie that has made its home at the Alexis for several years. The shop owner will gladly help you sample many colognes and perfumes from around the world.

With various thought provoking and eye appealing pieces of art placed in the perfect settings around the lobby -- you can even be distracted from checking in! The Alexis has joined with the city of Seattle to offer artwork to be viewed during the first Thursday of the month art walk around downtown Seattle. This event brings in art enthusiasts as well as the passerby who want to see the creativity in place in the halls of the Alexis where art pieces may be viewed as well as purchased. The guest rooms have been newly renovated to execute the highest quality and demands of it's outstanding reputation. Top floor guest room facing the west have partial Puget Sound water views. The Alexis is truly, "A work of art in itself"-- one of the hotel's mottos. The guest rooms at the Alexis coincide with the artistic culture of the hotel.

Each room includes a work of art to give the guest room a feeling of warmth and appeal. All of the guest rooms have a dynamic trendy flare. The warm furinishings in the rooms either offer a soft attractive bed or a classy four poster bed. Along with a state of the art workstation including complimentary wifi, you will find the most heavenly cozy over stuffed arm chair to allow you to either unwind, or indulge in a long awaited novel. The well though out bathroom includes all of the highly desired vanities. The Aveda line is what you will be able to rejuvenate with in the well appointed bathroom. All rooms at the Alexis are entirely smoke free and pet friendly. This is a hotel that has thought every aspect through.

If health and wellness are your pleasure then enjoy a rigorous work out or destressing routine at the complimentary 24 hour fitness center that offers the latest and greatest of fitness and work out machines inlcuding the well known Pre cor machines. After a strenuous workout at the fitness center open your pores and relax in the private steam room. If leaving your room to complete a much anticipated workout does not sound appealing, try the in room spa service amenity offered to all guests at the Alexis. The spa services are high-end as they are a private session conducted in the comfort of your own guest room. Specialized services include facials, massage, body wraps, hand and foot treatments, and so much more.

So after you have been able to take everything in, what else could there be at a hotel? The Alexis has alot more to offer, this is not just a hotel, this is a luxury boutique hotel. If working out is not your thing, and if art is not your thing, then maybe try the evening wine reception that offers it's guests complimentary wine from various local wineries. After the wine reception concludes you may take yourself to the Library Bistro where not only are drink specials offered as well as a week day happy hour, but on sunday's there is a special sunday tailgate party held at the Bistro. If you do make it for happy hour on a monday through friday expect to find drink and food specials starting at $4 dollars. Drink specials during happy hour include beer, house wine, and well drinks. The Bookstore Bar offers 60 different scotches for the like minded enthusiast. For those who love to sample various beers and not be stuck with the same one, well concocted beer flights are offered. At the Bookstore Bar there is a full service menu including dinner.

The other dining option at the Alexis Hotel is at the Library Bistro right near the grande lobby. At the Library Bistro indulge in the well prepared breakfast or Saturday or Sunday Brunch. The breakfast at the Library Bistro is so tempting that it has been written up in a variety of publications. Lunch is served at the Library Bistro Monday through Friday.

Either dining location at the Alexis Hotel offers both a quaint and warm place to either meet with friends, conduct business, or enjoy the atmosphere and indulge your taste buds.

The Alexis Hotel has a lot to offer. For the international business or pleasure traveler, or the domestic traveler, this hotel will appeal to all. Although children are welcome at the Alexis, this is not the best location for families with small children. This is more of a place where you would stay with a significant other, or stay while on business. The mood set at this property is very calm and luxurious. The Concierge at this hotel can offer their expertise for any element during your stay. Keep in mind that this hotel gladly recylces and offers free parking for hybrid cars. Overnight valet parking is assessed at thirty dollars per night.

The Alexis Hotel leaves an impression that is unique and concrete in your mind. This is a place you will come back to. This is a timeless escape from the everyday lifestyle. The Alexis Hotel exudes modern luxury, it is the art of luxury. As a guest you will leave, but you will come back.
