The lobby of the Alexis hotel is a moden luxury. With various thought provoking and eye appealing pieces of art placed in the perfect settings around the lobby -- you can even be distracted from checking in! The Alexis has joined with the city of Seattle to offer artwork to be viewed during the first Thursday of the month art walk around downtown Seattle. This event brings in art enthusiasts as well as the passerby who want to see the creativity in place in the halls of the Alexis where art pieces may be viewed as well as purchased. As a hotel guest all of the luxuries of being at an art show or museum are at your finger tips by just staying at the Alexis. Each piece of art sold at the Alexis has been created by a local artist.
There are six floors and 121 rooms inlcuding plush suites. The most superior suite available is a 1,200 square foot suite. The guest rooms have been newly renovated to execute the highest quality and demands of it's outstanding reputation. Top floor guest room facing the west have partial Puget Sound water views. The Alexis is truly, "A work of art in itself"-- one of the hotel's mottos. The guest rooms at the Alexis coincide with the artistic culture of the hotel. Each room includes a work of art to give the guest room a feeling of warmth and appeal. All of the guest rooms have a dynamic trendy flare. The warm furinishings in the rooms either offer a soft attractive bed or a classy four poster bed. Along with a state of the art workstation including complimentary wifi, you will find the most heavenly cozy over stuffed arm chair to allow you to either unwind, or indulge in a long awaited novel. The well though out bathroom includes all of the highly desired vanities. The Aveda line is what you will be able to rejuvenate with in the well appointed bathroom. All rooms at the Alexis are entirely smoke free and pet friendly. This is a hotel that has thought every aspect through.
So after you have been able to take everything in, what else could there be at a hotel? The Alexis has alot more to offer, this is not just a hotel, this is a luxury boutique hotel. If working out is not your thing, and if art is not your thing, then maybe try the evening wine reception that offers it's guests complimentary wine from various local wineries. After the wine reception concludes you may take yourself to the Library Bistro where not only are drink specials offered as well as a week day happy hour, but on sunday's there is a special sunday tailgate party held at the Bistro. If you do make it for happy hour on a monday through friday expect to find drink and food specials starting at $4 dollars. Drink specials during happy hour include beer, house wine, and well drinks. The Bookstore Bar offers 60 different scotches for the like minded enthusiast. For those who love to sample various beers and not be stuck with the same one, well concocted beer flights are offered. At the Bookstore Bar there is a full service menu including dinner.
