The historic Executive Pacific Plaza is a European
boutique-style hotel nestled in the heart of downtown Seattle. Built in 1928,
the hotel’s architectural details and design exude a European charm, offering a
taste of old Seattle right in the heart of the city’s financial district. Step
into the hotel’s small but quaint lobby and you will find vintage furniture that
is cozy enough to linger in – as many guests do – and a bowl of Washington
apples to nibble on while chatting with friends or reading a book. There’s also
a quaint Seattle’s Best Coffee shop right in the lobby for your morning cup of
java. Overall, the Executive Pacific Plaza is an intimate hotel with loads of
charm, friendly staff and a full-time concierge.
Having just completed a 4 million dollar renovation, the
Executive Pacific Plaza’s 160 rooms are tastefully decorated in a Eurasian
style. The newly renovated rooms and suites offer a mix of cherry woods, leather
accents, vintage and Northwest artwork, and some stunning vintage tile in many
of the bathrooms. The design evokes warmth with modern simplicity and European
styling. Electrical and plumbing updates were included in the renovation, so
this historic hotel is quite comfortable. Something you won’t find in many
hotels these days, you can actually open the windows for a breath of fresh air.
Another favorite touch is an umbrella – a must for your stay in the Emerald
city. Rooms also feature ceiling fans, 25 inch
televisions, cable, in room movies, data port telephones, voicemail, electronic
door locks and include hair dryers, irons and ironing boards and complimentary
in room coffee and tea.

Step outside the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel, and you’ll
find a great line-up of Seattle’s best shopping, sights and entertainment within
walking distance. Walk to the infamous Pike Place Market, Benaroya Hall for the
symphony, or the Seattle Public Library, which just opened to rave reviews for
it’s contemporary design and technological innovations. A great selection of
downtown Seattle restaurants are littered all around the neighborhood, including
local favorites Wild Ginger and the Metropolitan Grill. Let’s just say location
is one of the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel’s main draws.
The Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel was one of the first
non-smoking hotels in Seattle, so despite the European flair, it is without the
lingering smell of cigarettes. The hotel also accepts pets for those who wish to
have their furry friends join them.
With a uniquely friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and an
international group of guests, the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel is a great
place to stay for those with a moderate budget planning a trip to Seattle.
